On February 13, 2019, Ladies’ Lunch Bunch attendees consisting of twenty-four ladies carpooled to D’Hanis for lunch at Just Like Home. Pictures of the event were taken by Peggy Krepelka and posted on Facebook. Our next adventure will be March 13 when we will drive to the Castroville golf course for lunch at Julianna’s. A sign-up sheet is on the table in the Clubhouse along with their menu. Their address and telephone number are written on the top of the menu. They also have a website online. Remember to invite friends and visitors to join us.

The Brown Bag Auction Team would like to extend a very special thank you to Keith and Neva Dickman, Lot 4. Keith donated a very special plaque to the auction. The plaque is titled: NEVER FORGET in recognition of those who serve our country. These items of art take many hours of talent and hard work to complete. Thank You Keith, for donating your time and talent to the Bluebonnets….we appreciate you.
We also wish to thank Tim and Patsy Moberly who had the winning bid of $150 for the plaque. Thank you for supporting the Bluebonnets!
A lottery ticket with 5 games was purchased for the Brown Bag Auction on Saturday night. The ticket raised over $200 in donations to the Bluebonnets! However, I know that everyone will be surprised and disappointed that of the five tickets, we didn’t win squat. One set had one number and another had another number with no powerball. 21 people contributed to the pool and though there were no winners, a good time was had by all! Oh well, better luck next year.

Lots of folks braved the cold this morning to enjoy the omelet in a bag breakfast. Thanks for all the support and all the helpers who made this possible.
Well folks, it looks like we’ve pinned down our Brown Bag Auctioneer. Just got word that they will be in San Antonio on Friday, February 15th for an appointment on Satuday, the 16th. Its been quite a long time since they’ve been here and we’re really looking forward to seeing them again. So come on out Saturday evening, February 16th for the Annual Potato Bake at 5:00 pm, followed by the Brown Bag Auction. It’s guaranteed to be a fun evening.
Oh, by the way…there are plenty of empty brown bags available in the Clubhouse, so take one, put something in it that YOU would like to get if you bid on it and won. It should have a value of at least $10. Then seal it up so folks can’t peek, put a little hint on the outside of the bag as to what might be in there and bring it to the Clubhouse the night of the Auction. Remember….this is strictly a FUND RAISING event, so lets make it a successful one.
