It is that time of year again when we have to consider election of members to the Board of Directors at the AMM. This year there will be five vacant positions thus requiring a minimum of six candidates (preferably more) to run. Applications may be picked up at the office or at Lot 16 and returned no later than December 14th. If you are currently out of the park and wish to submit an application call or email Edmund Strickler (information in directory) or the office and a form will be sent to you.
This is also a reminder that if you wish to submit a Standing Rule change it will be sent out in the voting packet and voted on at the AMM. These must be in to the Election Committee by December 30th.
ARTICLE VI, ADOPTION AND AMENDMENT, SECTION 1: AMENDMENT
Requests for Standing Rules to be adopted, suspended, rescinded or amended shall be submitted by December 30th to the Election Committee for inclusion in the voting packet. Requests will be in the form of a written request, signed and dated by the member proposing the change. Discussion and voting shall be done at the Annual Membership Meeting.
We look forward to a competitive election.

A celebration in honor of our veterans was held on November 11 at 10 am. About 45 people gathered, both members and guests, outside the north door of the Clubhouse. The event was planned and coordinated by Randi Rigsby, Vice President of the Bluebonnet Auxiliary. After a welcome and brief history of Veterans Day by Samme Buck, President of the Bluebonnet Auxiliary, Ron Erkert, Lot 7, led the attendees in singing the Star Spangled Banner. A reading titled “What Is A Vet” was given by Bob Payne, Lot 89.
Our veterans were recognized by individual service branches. Gift cards were given in three special categories: the oldest veteran in attendance at the ceremony today was Gene Hunter, Lot 53, at 90; the longest serving veteran in attendance was R.D. Totten, Lot 34, with 23 years in the military; our youngest veteran at the ceremony was a guest, Walter Confer (on Lot 37), at 64. THANK YOU to all our veterans for your service.
A special Thank You to our Audio-Visual Co-chairs, Bob Chapin and Jim Mossman; Cheryl Curtis for our invocation; the Kitchen Committee for their assistance with the beverage service (Brenda & Minta); Marlene Moir for both the decorations and cake service; Richard Buck for set up and break down. Thank you to Ron Erkert for his help with the sound system and for sharing his wonderful singing talent with us yet again.

The Bluebonnet “Red Barn” was painted on Friday, November 6th. A fresh coat of paint has made a big difference in our storage barn! Thanks to the Bluebonnet volunteers who did the work.
L-R: Marlene Moir, Sandi Million, Samme Buck, Linda Mossman and Richard Buck.
Thank you also to Nancy and Dan Kirkpatrick, our workampers, for their help in power washing the barn and providing some painting tools. We appreciate you.
Thanks to all for your hard work to keep our Co-op looking young!
