TEXAS HILL COUNTRY

The Texas Hill Country is the center and heart of Texas and probably the prettiest overall region of the entire state. From small towns to large, each has something special. Below are a few places of note:

Bandera 11th STREET COWBOY BAR where on Wednesday nights you bring your own steak, grill it on their grill and enjoy the music. Beverages and side dishes are available for a small fee.

LONE STAR MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM where you will find old Indians, Harleys, BSAs, Triumphs and others.  Also a small cafe with some great Aussie meat pies.

Frontier Times Museum in Bandera, located at 510 13th Street. Sorry, no link here but worth the visit!

Lukenbach GENERAL STORE – jam sessions, weddings, you name it, it’s here.

Fredericksburg – German Texan heritage. Home of the NATIONAL MUSEUM of the PACIFIC WAR and the PIONEER MUSEUM
