Covid-19

September 1, 2020

We have all been hoping that this COVID-19 pandemic would be over by now and that we could go back to our normal lives here at Lone Star Corral. Unfortunately, that is not the case, so we are asking our members to follow a couple of simple guidelines.

  1. If you have been out of the Co Op for the summer and are returning to spend the winter again, we are asking that upon your return you “self-quarantine” for at least a week.
  2. Please limit the number of persons in the laundry to two (2) at any time.
  3. We are asking all members attending BOD Meetings to please wear a mask. We ask this to protect your neighbors as well as yourself.

We know that this may be an inconvenience but so far, we have not had a single case of COVID-19 here at LSC and we hope to keep it that way.

Jean Nation

It is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of Jean Nation from the Funeral Consumers Alliance. Jean has visited the Members of the Lone Star Corral for many years, educating us about the funeral industry and ways to protect ourselves and our families from end of life stress and expense.
Jean passed away on August 10th in San Antonio after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. She remained passionate in her desire to serve and educate the public even as she herself was gravely  ill.
We thank Jean for her many years of service both to the San Antonio and surrounding communities. She will be missed.

Clubhouse Bulletin Boards

Recently a political opinion was posted on the Bluebonnet bulletin board. We would like to remind all Members of two things. Number one, there should be no political or religious activities in our Clubhouse. This is so all members can enjoy the Clubhouse and social activities without fear, intimidation or argument in regards to a religious or political nature. Number two, nothing is to be posted on the Bluebonnet bulletin board unless it is of interest to the social activities of the Membership. Anything being posted on the Bluebonnet bulletin board must first be approved by a Bluebonnet Officer. It also must have the name and lot number of the person doing the posting.

This has been a very difficult year for both our community and our nation. We need to remember that all of our members are diverse in nature with different beliefs and opinions. We need to remember that our Clubhouse should be neutral ground for the enjoyment of our social activities by all.

Clubhouse Reopens

Good News Folks!

The Clubhouse has opened again as of June 15th with the following recommendations:

Sanitation will be up to the individual member using the Clubhouse.

If you do not feel comfortable or are concerned about your health or that of other members of your household, our suggestion is that you determine for yourself whether to use the Clubhouse at this time.

The office is open again too, Monday through Friday. However, please observe the 6-foot distancing when you are picking up packages or having any business with office personnel.

The Co-op has also opened again as of June 15th to visiting SKP RVs.

Thank you to all our Members for your cooperation during these trying times.
