ATTENTION TO NEW MEMBERS…AND NOT-SO-NEW…MEMBERS
With so many new members joining us here at LSC since last Christmas, we thought it would be a good idea to educate those members who may not know about the LSC Member’s Christmas Tree which is located in the northeast corner of the clubhouse.
This tree originated many years ago to represent members of Lone Star Corral at Christmas time in the form of a personalized ornament. Each member provided an ornament of their choice to identify and represent their time at LSC.
You, too, can obtain an ornament of your choice and add your name(s) on it. If you wish, you can add your lot number and year you joined LSC. Find an empty spot on the Member’s Tree and hang it up. After Christmas, all these special ornaments are carefully packed away until next Christmas when they’re once again hung back up on next year’s Member’s Tree.
3 shows this winter. Come on out and spend the day listening to some good old Country/Western music brought to you by some fine entertainers. Some are your neighbors from the park! The music starts at 11 am. We stop for lunch at 12 and pick it up again until 3pm. Please bring a covered dish to share at lunch. We’d like to see a good turnout of the SKP members to support these folks.
Recently five (5) teams of very talented LSC Members met in the Clubhouse to decorate gingerbread houses for you to enjoy this Christmas season. It’s time now for us to show our appreciation for their efforts. The gingerbread houses are on display in the Clubhouse. In front of each house there is a jar. Simply examine the houses, pick your favorite, and put some money in the jar! If you like them all, put money in all the jars! The Gingerbread House that raises the most money will be the winner.
